Jill Popelka Named CEO of Education Technology Firm Everway

Jill Popelka, a veteran of Darktrace and SAP, has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of the education and workplace technology firm Everway. Her transition into the top role, effective July 9, marks a strategic pivot for the company as it seeks to scale its neuroinclusion software across global markets.

Popelka arrives at the Wilmington-based firm with a background in cloud computing and human capital management. Her mandate centers on guiding the company through its next phase of expansion following a series of acquisitions, including TeachTown, SpedTrack, Matchware, and Embrace Education. Founder and Executive Chairman Martin McKay signaled that the board sought a leader capable of balancing operational rigor with the company’s core mission of fostering neuroinclusive environments.

Prior to this appointment, Popelka served as CEO of the AI-driven cybersecurity company Darktrace. Her resume also includes leadership positions at Snap Inc., where she directed the enterprise software division, and at SAP, where she managed the SuccessFactors cloud business. She intends to integrate the existing product suites from Everway and TeachTown to streamline offerings for K–12 and higher education clients.

Everway, which operates under the investment umbrella of Five Arrows, the alternative assets arm of Rothschild & Co, maintains a focus on accessibility and literacy support. As the firm integrates its recent acquisitions, Popelka faces the task of scaling these technologies while maintaining the specialized educational outcomes that define the company’s market position.
