Crumbl Elevates Jacob Moncur to Chief Technology Officer

After four years overseeing the brand's digital infrastructure, Jacob Moncur has been promoted to Chief Technology Officer at Crumbl. The appointment marks a strategic shift for the dessert chain, which has prioritized mobile-first engagement and experimental platform integration since Moncur joined the engineering department in 2020.

Moncur succeeds Bryce Redd, who will transition into a strategic advisory role to support the leadership change. During his tenure as Vice President of Engineering, Moncur played a central role in developing the company’s mobile ordering ecosystem and directed its recent expansion onto the Apple Vision Pro. Co-founders Jason McGowan and Sawyer Hemsley credited his technical oversight as a primary driver behind the company’s ability to scale operations effectively.

Reflecting on his new mandate, Moncur emphasized a continued focus on supporting both franchise partners and the customer experience through digital innovation. Redd expressed confidence in the transition, noting that the company’s current technological foundation was built under their collaborative leadership. The move comes as Crumbl seeks to solidify its position in the competitive retail tech landscape, leveraging the infrastructure established during its rapid national growth.
