Jeremy Allen White, who enjoyed three consecutive nominations and two wins for his work on The Bear, also missed the cut for the upcoming awards, though his co-star Ayo Edebiri earned a nomination for Best Actress in a comedy series. Other notable absences include Ethan Hawke, snubbed for his work in the FX series The Lowdown, and Paul Anthony Kelly, who failed to earn a nomination for his portrayal of John F. Kennedy. Beyond individual performances, entire series faced rejection; Industry, Stranger Things, and the long-standing reality staple The Amazing Race were all excluded from the 2026 ballot.
