Westfield Golf Outing Targets $75,000 for Accessible Van

A central Indiana child in need will receive a handicap-accessible van this year, provided the Samantha's House Foundation reaches its $75,000 fundraising goal during the annual golf outing on September 1. Hosted at the Wood Wind Golf Club in Westfield, the event serves as the organization's primary financial engine.

The foundation, which traces its origins to a client case at Keller & Keller Injury Lawyers, has spent over 15 years providing critical mobility equipment and housing support to local families. Last year’s event raised more than $50,000, successfully funding a vehicle for a child named Victor in Plainfield. Since its inception, the non-profit has delivered over 10 vans and constructed three homes.

Participants can support the cause by registering a foursome or purchasing a hole sponsorship. For those who do not play golf, the foundation will host a live auction in the coming weeks. Jim Keller, president of the injury law firm, describes the day as a cornerstone of their community outreach, offering supporters a chance to meet previous recipients and witness the direct impact of their contributions. The organization is currently accepting nominations for families requiring a handicap-accessible van via its website.
