Hyundai Debuts 2027 Palisade Hybrid Calligraphy Black Ink Edition

Hyundai Debuts 2027 Palisade Hybrid Calligraphy Black Ink Edition

For buyers seeking a more aggressive aesthetic for their flagship SUV, Hyundai is expanding its 2027 Palisade Hybrid lineup with the new Calligraphy Black Ink edition. The trim swaps traditional brightwork for a monochromatic, darkened design, arriving at U.S. dealerships this month with a starting price of $59,280.

The Black Ink edition centers on a comprehensive visual overhaul of the standard Calligraphy model, replacing silver and chrome accents with gloss-black, satin-black, and dark-tinted finishes. Exterior modifications span the entire vehicle, from the blacked-out Hyundai badging and grille accents to the roof rails, D-pillar trim, and alloy wheels. This darkened motif carries into the cabin, where interior focal points—including the steering wheel accents, HVAC controls, speaker grilles, and door handles—are finished in premium black to create a cohesive, high-contrast environment.

Available in Abyss Black Pearl, Ecotronic Gray Pearl, and Creamy White Pearl, the trim is paired exclusively with the brand’s 2.5-liter turbocharged hybrid powertrain. According to Olabisi Boyle, senior vice president of product planning at Hyundai Motor North America, the edition aims to provide a sharper, more distinct presence for owners who prioritize luxury through understated styling. The front-wheel-drive configuration starts at $59,280, while the all-wheel-drive variant is priced at $61,280, with both figures including a $1,600 destination charge.
