Bambu Lab Launches 48-Hour Charity Drive for Venezuela Earthquake Relief

Following two major earthquakes that struck Venezuela on June 24, Bambu Lab is mobilizing its global maker community through a 48-hour fundraising campaign. Starting July 13, the company will donate the full MSRP of specific PLA filament sales directly to UN Crisis Relief to bolster ongoing recovery efforts.

The initiative invites customers in the US and EU to purchase PLA Basic Refill in Venezuela’s flag colors—yellow, blue, and red—using the promo code 4Venezuela. While customers may access promotional pricing during the event, Bambu Lab will base its donation on the full original list price, covering the difference itself. This effort aims to formalize a path for the 3D printing community to contribute to the relief work that began immediately after the 7.2 and 7.5 magnitude tremors.

This campaign expands on Bambu Lab’s existing commitment, which includes a 50,000 USD cash contribution and ongoing material support for LayerLab, their official distributor in Venezuela. Local makers have been instrumental in the response, utilizing open-source designs from organizations like Ostec3D to manufacture critical medical aids, including oxygen connectors and hand splints. After the campaign concludes on July 15, the company plans to publish the total funds raised to ensure transparency regarding the community's collective impact.
