The expansion shifts AMAP’s focus toward specialized routing, moving beyond standard driving directions to address the operational realities of last-mile delivery and ride-hailing. By incorporating motorcycle-specific lane data and access restrictions, the platform aims to reduce route violations and improve dispatch accuracy. These features, previously refined within the Chinese market, are now available for enterprise integration via turn-by-turn guidance and junction-level visualization.
Data accuracy remains the primary hurdle for companies operating across diverse international geographies. To mitigate common failures in address resolution and arrival time forecasting, AMAP has mapped critical road attributes such as one-way streets, speed limits, and turning restrictions. The platform’s updated ETA models now weigh real-time traffic flux and seasonal patterns, allowing fleet managers to optimize resource allocation through more precise time-space calculations. Supported by 500 million address records, the service offers interface support in English, Chinese, and local languages to streamline deployment for global enterprises.
