Dylan Marx Takes Helm of Recurrent Energy as Ismael Guerrero Steps Down

Canadian Solar has initiated a leadership shift at its global project development arm, Recurrent Energy, appointing former Chief Operating Officer Dylan Marx to the role of Chief Executive Officer. The change is effective immediately, marking a strategic pivot in the company's internal management structure.

Ismael Guerrero, the outgoing CEO, will remain with the company in a non-executive advisory capacity until the end of 2026 to facilitate the transition. By vacating his post at Recurrent Energy, Guerrero clears the path for Marx, who leaves his position as Chief Operating Officer of the parent firm, Canadian Solar, to dedicate his focus entirely to the subsidiary’s project pipeline.

Colin Parkin, CEO of Canadian Solar, cited Marx’s extensive operational oversight and deep familiarity with the business as the primary drivers behind the appointment. The company, which has delivered nearly 177 GW of solar modules since its inception in 2001, continues to manage a significant global portfolio that includes 24 GWp of solar projects and 81 GWh of battery energy storage capacity in various stages of development.
