Monster Energy Athletes Dominate Second Day of X Games Chiba 2026

The second day of X Games Chiba 2026 concluded with a flurry of podium finishes as Monster Energy athletes secured five medals across four disciplines. The standout performance came from 15-year-old Egoitz Bijueska, who claimed his first career X Games gold, marking a historic milestone for Spanish skateboarding.

Competing at Makuhari Messe, Bijueska outpaced a field of elite park riders with a 92.66-point run that featured a technical sequence including a backside 540 on the plexiglass extension. His teammate Tom Schaar followed closely, securing silver with 91.33 points, which stands as the 20th X Games medal of his career. The event also highlighted the rising generation of talent, with 13-year-old Ao Nishikawa earning bronze in the Men's Skateboard Vert Best Trick competition after landing a Cab 720 body jar.

In the BMX arena, Mike Varga returned to the top of the podium, clinching gold in the Dave Mirra Park Best Trick event with a high-flying 900 decade. This victory marks his fourth career gold medal. Meanwhile, in the Men's Skateboard Street final, Sora Shirai delighted the local crowd by securing bronze with an 88.33-point run, highlighted by a technical Cab backside tailslide. These results contribute to a total of eleven medals earned by the Monster Energy team throughout the Chiba event, which serves as the second competition of the inaugural MoonPay X Games League summer season.
