The event featured lead voice actor Taihi Kimura alongside manga editor Takuro Imamura and producer Koichi Yasuda. Kimura, who won the 2025 Seiyu Award for Best New Actor, described the challenge of balancing the intensity of his character, Chihiro Rokuhira, while maintaining the vulnerability of an 18-year-old. The production, handled by studio Cypic under director Tetsuya Takeuchi, aims to translate the series' signature katana-focused action to the screen. Yasuda noted that the studio is prioritizing the original work's vision, emphasizing the intense, technical effort required to animate the series' combat sequences.
Following the Los Angeles premiere, the Kagurabachi World Tour will continue with screenings in Paris, Mannheim, Washington D.C., and New York throughout the summer. The series is currently slated for a full broadcast and streaming release in April 2027, with platforms including Crunchyroll and MUSE confirmed to carry the show.
