The restoration of the Tamarack Express was completed alongside manufacturer Leitner-Poma, with additional support from Granite Excavation, ALLWEST Testing & Engineering, Knife River, and Salmon River Helicopters. Following a series of rigorous safety inspections, the resort received official clearance to resume operations. Chief Operating Officer Kara Finley emphasized that safety remained the primary focus throughout the accelerated repair timeline.
Beginning July 4, the lift will operate daily, with initial holiday weekend hours set from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Mid-Mountain Lodge also reopens for the weekend, providing outdoor BBQ service and refreshments. This restored access is vital for the Big Mountain Enduro, returning to the resort on July 10–11. The event, which debuted in 2025, aims to increase accessibility for riders of all skill levels through free registration and complimentary camping. With the lift back in service, guests gain renewed access to the resort’s full summer itinerary, including championship golf at Osprey Meadows and water sports on Lake Cascade.
