Clearview AI Reaches FedRAMP High Milestone for Government Cloud

Clearview AI has secured a FedRAMP "In Process" designation at the High impact level for its GovCloud platform. This status marks a critical progression toward full federal authorization, positioning the company to support national security and defense agencies that demand the most stringent cloud security protocols currently available to the government.

The Arlington-based firm, which maintains a database of over 70 billion publicly sourced images, expects to receive full FedRAMP authorization by the first quarter of 2027. This designation serves as a prerequisite for agencies managing high-stakes investigative work, including counterterrorism and criminal identification. Every search conducted through the platform remains subject to permanent audit trails and restricted access controls for authorized personnel.

Clearview AI CEO Amos Kyler noted that the status reflects significant institutional investment in governance and infrastructure. Beyond the FedRAMP process, the company holds SOC 2 Type II and TX-RAMP certifications. Its technical framework also aligns with the Government Accountability Office's AI Accountability standards, covering governance, data integrity, performance, and monitoring. For federal procurement officers and security leads, this independent validation will likely become a primary benchmark when evaluating the platform for sensitive government operations.
