Vendavo Acquires Model N High-Tech Unit to Consolidate Revenue Software

Vendavo has signed an agreement to purchase the high-tech business unit of Model N, aiming to create a comprehensive digital ecosystem for semiconductor and electronics manufacturers. The deal combines Vendavo’s existing pricing and rebate software with Model N’s expertise in channel data management and execution.

The acquisition targets the operational challenges inherent in modern hardware manufacturing, where companies grapple with multi-layered pricing, high-volume rebates, and volatile product lifecycles. By integrating Model N’s channel tools into its own platform, Vendavo intends to offer a unified system that tracks the entire revenue lifecycle, from initial price setting to final net price realization.

Sharath Dorbala, CEO of Vendavo, stated that the move is designed to provide a platform capable of handling the scale and complex channel dynamics unique to the semiconductor sector. For their part, Model N will retain its life sciences division, continuing to serve pharmaceutical and medtech clients. Vendavo plans to maintain continuity for existing Model N high-tech customers while transitioning them toward an integrated architecture that connects channel execution directly to pricing and rebate strategies. Gloria Kee, Vendavo’s SVP of Product Management, emphasized that structuring channel data is the foundational step toward making revenue execution both measurable and optimized.
