Latham & Watkins Adds Erica Schohn to New York Partner Roster

Latham & Watkins has recruited Erica Schohn as a partner in its New York office, strengthening the firm’s Executive Compensation, Employment & Benefits practice. A veteran advisor to corporate boards and deal teams, Schohn transitions to the firm from Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom to focus on complex transactional mandates.

Schohn brings extensive experience in navigating the compensation aspects of public company mergers, acquisitions, initial public offerings, and capital markets transactions. She is recognized for her work on executive retention, transition arrangements, and incentive design for both sponsor-backed and strategic deals. Beyond her advisory work, she serves as a co-editor of the Section 409A Handbook, a definitive resource on nonqualified deferred compensation under the Internal Revenue Code.

Marc Jaffe, managing partner of Latham’s New York office, stated that Schohn’s background aligns with the firm’s focus on delivering integrated advice for high-stakes corporate matters. Her arrival follows the recent additions of Erica Aho and Pascal Mayer to the practice. Schohn, a graduate of Duke University School of Law, will continue to advise compensation committees and senior executives as they manage governance and disclosure requirements in an increasingly complex regulatory landscape.
