The Colombo-based retailer, a subsidiary of John Keells Holdings, currently utilizes the platform in 23 locations. By automating production planning, the company intends to minimize waste and ensure consistent product availability across its diverse prepared food offerings.
Visal Perera, Head of Fresh Departments at Keells, described the implementation as a vital component of the company's scaling strategy. Cybake CEO Ali Lyons noted that the project focuses on enhancing the quality of in-store prepared goods, emphasizing the retailer's commitment to operational precision. Following the final deployment in September, the technology will provide the chain with centralized visibility to support its ongoing expansion in the competitive retail sector.
