Ramsay reports directly to President and CEO Helen Torley, bringing three decades of financial and strategic leadership experience to the role. His mandate includes setting strategic priorities, managing high-level alliances, and scaling business development efforts. Torley noted that Ramsay’s deep institutional knowledge, gained during his previous stints as the company’s CFO and VP of Corporate Development, makes him uniquely positioned to lead this expansion phase.
Most recently, Ramsay served as Halozyme’s Interim CFO from March through early June 2026. His history with the San Diego-based firm dates back to 2003, where he played a pivotal role in transitioning the organization from a private entity to a billion-dollar public biopharmaceutical company. Outside of Halozyme, his career includes a tenure as CFO of Bonti, Inc., which was acquired by Allergan in 2018. He holds degrees from UC Berkeley and The Wharton School.
