The integration of Link Labs brings over a decade of IoT location expertise into the Geotab ecosystem. While Geotab has historically focused on vehicle telematics, processing 100 billion data points daily for 6 million connected assets, this move signals a pivot toward total operational visibility. CEO Neil Cawse stated that vehicles represent only a fraction of the equation, noting that tools and cargo often account for significant financial disruption when left unmonitored.
Link Labs provides enterprise-grade tracking that functions at scale, complementing Geotab’s existing platform used by more than 100,000 customers. By merging these capabilities, Geotab intends to offer a unified view of fleet movements and stationary equipment. The move reinforces the company’s position as a data-centric provider for asset-intensive industries, including hospitality and construction, where precise inventory management remains a primary hurdle.
