By eschewing machine harvesting in favor of hand-picking and gentle packing, the retailer aims to maintain the fruit's structural integrity and juice content. Liz Zolcak, president of Fresh Thyme Market, noted that the seasonal arrival serves as a focal point for the company's commitment to quality produce and healthier consumer choices.
Beyond raw fruit, the grocer is expanding its seasonal offerings to include handmade Lori Anne Peach Rustic Pies available in store bakeries. To assist shoppers in utilizing the harvest, the company is providing storage tips and recipe guides ranging from savory Grilled Peach Pork Kabobs to Peach-Bourbon Upside-Down Bundt Cake. Anja Kauffman, director of merchandising produce and floral, highlighted that the peaches have become a high-demand item, with customers consistently anticipating their limited-window appearance each year. The fruit is currently available at all locations except Minnesota.
