The partnership joins a growing e-commerce portfolio for the retailer, which already manages delivery operations via Just Eat and Snappy Shopper. To incentivize initial adoption of the new channel, the company is providing a 5-pound discount on all orders exceeding 25 pounds.
Simon Dryell, Chief Commercial Officer at East of England Co-op, noted that the move addresses evolving community requirements for speed and convenience. By leveraging the Uber Eats network, the retailer aims to provide more flexible shopping methods for its members while maintaining the accessibility of its physical store footprint.
